The Magic Hour, what a great showcase of the fine talents of Rick Jamison, a very prolific songwriter, singer and guitar player. A total of 16 songs, including a wide variety of themes and styles, everything from outlaws, love of a girl/town (your choice), traveling, a bluegrass festival (the title tune), a party song, and love... true and lonesome. Rick's tasty guitar playing is heard throughout the CD, with great support from Dave Richardson (banjo & vocals), Erik Thomas (mandolin & vocals), Megan Lynch (fiddle & vocals), Rob Ickes (dobro) and Cindy Browne (bass). Rick has a vivid imagination and knows how to express that in verse and song. Rick's imagery is equaled by his fresh melodies and arrangements, classy all the way. The Magic Hour is a great CD, true to the bluegrass form and adding to the genre.
